Vehicle Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Prepare vehicles for MOT/inspections
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs where required
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, plant maintenance, or a similar engineering role
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with commercial vehicles, plant, or fleet vehicles (desirable)
- Relevant engineering or mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
